In-House Beekeeping Classes
Taking a beekeeping class is so important for today's beekeeper. There has been lots of changes since grandpa kept bees. Without knowing how to keep bees today, you might lose your new hive quickly or the first winter. We are here to help. Our beekeeping classes are taught by Certified Master Beekeeper, David Burns. Be well informed before you start keeping bees by enrolling in one of our beekeeping classes. Click on the class below for more information. And while you are at our apiary you can purchase your hives and equipment and get a discount coupon for picking up (just mention this offer to the cashier).
Or if you live too far away, sign up and let David be your beekeeping mentor.
Here is the order we recommend:
1. Basic Beginners Class
2. Day in the Apiary
3. Overwintering your Bees
*These first three will give you a full and complete beekeeping course at 12.5 hr total**
4. Spring (we suggest this after your first year of beekeeping)
5. Advanced beekeeping (1 year beekeeping experience recommended)
6. Queen Rearing (for hobby or profit class)
Binders are given out at the first in house beginners class. There is room in binder for materials from each subsequent class you attend.
Certificates available after each class for those who need it for licensing purposes in their towns, villages or municipalities. Please let us know ahead of time.
