General Store Policy:

Long Lane Honey Bee Farms offers the following Returns Policy:

If you are not satisfied with our product, send it back and we will refund your money up to 30 days after purchase. We cannot refund shipping and handling cost.

Bee Package Policy:

Long Lane Apiary (LLA) staff examines and confirms all bee packages are complete and in good health. This includes but not limited to, staff examining included queen is mated and in good health, proper weight of bees are included and living, and package is complete and sealed properly. Orders are taken for estimated fulfillment dates and LLA will make best effort to fulfill orders by ship or pickup dates. LLA is located in Fairmount Illinois but ship from multiple locations in different states, ship dates are subject to change without notice to purchaser, due to weather conditions or other factors outside of our control.

Since there is always a risk in shipping livestock, we highly recommend picking up you bee package when possible. However, if you must have your package shipped we will require them to be shipped UPS Next Day Air. Shipping companies do not insure livestock or guarantee delivery dates. We are not able to control the way they are handled or cared for during shipping. For these reasons purchaser (you) takes all responsibility for the shipment after it leaves our facility. We will be unable to refund your money or bees.

We no longer accept order from CA, WA, ID, AZ, UT, MT, and NV; we do not accept orders outside of the Continental United States or PO Box address. We require that a monitored email and phone number is given at time of purchase.

Cancellations of any kind will not be accepted after package preparation has begun, this is at least 30 days prior to shipment.

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to check package upon receiving shipment. We will not respond to email correspondence dealing with claims. Call us only at 217-427-2678. Any claims must be made within 72 hours of received shipment, not including weekends. Refunds cannot be made in any circumstances. Replacements may be made at LLAs discretion, in all cases of replacement purchaser will be required to pay shipping again. If requested, purchaser will need to provide documentation on receiving a dead package.

LLA cannot make any guarantee on introduction or performance after the package has left our facility. Whether queen dies, package absconds, or for any other reason, we cannot make any refund or replacement. We provide many resources online, including blogs, podcasts, and videos; teaching and discussing all aspects of bee keeping. We provide specific blogs and videos describing packages and how to install them.

Queen Policy:

Long Lane Apiary (LLA) staff examines and confirms that mated laying queens are packaged with 3 – 4 attendants and sent to the address and name that was provided to us. Orders are taken for a specific ship date, and we will make our best effort to fulfill orders and ship on that date. LLA is located in Fairmount, Illinois and ship dates may change without notice to purchaser, due to weather conditions or other factors outside of our control.

There is always a certain risk involved in shipping livestock, and we highly recommend picking up your queen purchases when possible. However, if you must have your queen shipped we only ship queens overnight or 2nd day. Shipping companies do not insure livestock or guarantee delivery dates. We have no control over the care, concern or health of queens during shipping. For these reasons the purchaser is held responsible for the shipment after it leaves our facility.

We will no longer accept orders outside Continental United States or PO Box addresses. We require that a monitored phone number and email be given at time of purchase from the purchaser.

Cancellations of any kind will not be accepted after queens have been pulled for shipment, this could be up to 24 hours prior to shipment.

Replacements may be made at LLAs discretion, in all cases of replacement purchaser will be required to pay shipping again. If requested, purchaser will need to provide documentation on receiving a dead queen.

LLA cannot make any guarantee on introduction or performance after the queen has left our facility. Whether queen dies during manual release, unacceptance by the colony, or for any other reason, we cannot make any refund or replacement. We do provide a sheet on best practices for introduction and can advise customer as needed with questions pertaining to queen purchase.
